eBay Brushes Off Big Crumbs

Sorry -- I couldn't resist that title! Just got an email that eBay does not plan to return to the BigCrumbs cashback program. I received the below email from BigCrumbs. They do, however, still offer cashback at over 1200 stores.

Greetings julia,

We are writing to provide you with an update on the eBay situation at BigCrumbs.

As you probably know, eBay began conducting a test in June of 2011. During this period, eBay was removed from all cash back sites in order to allow them to measure the effectiveness of said sites. The test was set to conclude on October 1, at which time eBay would determine whether and how to adjust the commissions it would pay to BigCrumbs. Unfortunately, that date came and went without word from eBay.

Since that time, it has been difficult to obtain clear information from eBay, but here is what we know: There is no plan for eBay to return to BigCrumbs.

BigCrumbs was the first to offer cash back at eBay and paid members millions of dollars in cash back and referral commissions over the last 5+ years. We realize that this comes as a disappointment to many members who earned a significant amount on eBay purchases and we share your disappointment.

However, we continue to offer some of the highest overall cash back at over 1,200 top stores. You'll find great alternatives to eBay among these stores, as well as great deals and BIG cash back.
As for the future, we look forward to new, expanded opportunities for BigCrumbs and all of our members in 2012.

Warmest wishes of the season from our family to yours,

  1. Small business owners have special sales, due to the economic crisis, the difficulties encountered. Today, this economic crisis continues to plague many people. This is why many people choose to spend less, in order to save money.
