Effective today, pay no Insertion Fees on your first 5 qualifying Auction-style listings when you use the eBay Sell Your Item or Simple listing form. This is not a short-term promotionits a change to eBay pricing. You can now list 5 items every 30 days and pay nothing unless your items sell.

The Final Value Fee for these first 5 listings with $0.00 Insertion Fees will be 8.75% of the sales price or $20, whichever is lower.

See the original May 12 announcement below for all options available for sellers.

This seems like a step in the right direction to me, to win back some sellers, whether in emotion or physical presence on the site.

I'd like to see some other things done to make sellers happy campers, such as increasing Store items' visibility, but this is something. One gets the sense with the things eBay has been doing lately, such as the mailing I received earlier this summer, they are caring more about the sellers experience.

To what extent this will encourage listing on the site, especially by smaller or casual sellers, remains to be seen.

  2. I realy like your hot article! Could you create the term paper format for example? Because I do really know that a professional custom writing service would compose well researched essays of brilliant quality.
